Live Broadcast in MKE: NA Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship

For all you polo fans out there that are unable to see the action in person you can go to bikepolo.tv starting tomorrow morning through Sunday for live coverage and commentary.  The tournament is located at Washington Park in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Feature Frame: Milwaukee Road - True Temper OX Platninum

I couldn't wait for this frame to be built up to take photos.  So, here's a quick peek at one of the newest road frame options we're offing.  You can now choose between a True Temper Versus tube set or and upgraded OX Platinum tube set on the Milwaukee road frames.  What an upgrade it is too!

A local customer recently purchased one with yet another super clean and classic paint scheme.  I highly recommend clicking on the enlarged versions of these photos, because the smaller thumbnails just doesn't do the frame or the finish justice.

Event Recap: Downer Classic 2012

We at Ben's always look forward to throwing the best party and give away the most money every year at the Downer Classic.  The weather was beautiful and the east side was buzzing with anticipation to see who was going home with the big check.

 The Active Pursuit is run by Tom Held and he's been covering the entire tour since day one.  Be sure to head over there and check it out.

Both the Men's and Women's pros had a chance at winning the Ben's Cycle Prime.  The proceeds we raised from selling tickets for the unlimited beer and food went to the giant checks.  Yes, even dogs were allowed to buy a wrist band and drink beer too!

This vehicle recently made a pit stop the other day for an unknown reason and caught the eyes of many people including my lens.  The dedicated trunk rack is a nice touch.

Event: North American Bike Polo Championships July 6-8th

Presented by Milwaukee Bicycle Company the best of the best from North American Hardcourt Bike Polo will converge in our hometown during the first weekend of July.  Teams will battle for 16 available spots to attend the world championships in Geneva Switzerland this August. 

The event is open to the public of all ages and is hosted by Milwaukee Bike Polo.  Don't miss this!    

New Product - Velocity Deep V - Polished!

There was some serious polishing that went into these rims! Velocity did a great job!

Hot Off The Stand: Fire Engine Red Road Bike

This custom fire engine red Milwaukee road bike sure is a looker!  The bike is built with a mix of ultegra, 105, and Dura Ace components.  It has a double clear coat finish with the upgraded Waterford built fork.









The stainless steel badges really pop beautifully with this loud color.

The TRP mini v-brakes easily allow tire clarance(clearance) for Panaracer 28c rubber, while still having plenty of room for fenders and lots of braking power.


No corners were cut when selecting the parts for this build, that's for sure.  Investing in a nice wheel set for your bike, in my opinion, is one of the best things you can do.

Event: Milwaukee Tour De Fat - 7/14/12

Hang out with your buds, drink great beer, ride in the parade and enjoy live entertainment at this year's Tour de Fat.  Also, if you're sick and tired of that 4 wheeled gas guzzling vehicle sucking the life out of you, then trade it in for a rad new bicycle.  Tour de Fat will choose one lucky person and give them a 2,250 budget to build the ultimate commuter bike!  Last year's bike is amazing by the way.
