MKE Bike Co. Cyclocross Disc Build

 

  We stayed late last night to build up our new cx disc frame, which weighs in at 22.3lbs as shown, and we're very happy at how it turned out.  Also, we just got our first batch of frames in.

  If you're in the market or even if you just want to take a test ride, then come down to the shop or you can test ride at the cyclocross clinics going on in Milwaukee from Sept. 11 through Oct. mentioned in a previous blog post here.

Sneak Peak: Milwaukee Bike Co. CycloCross Disc

We're happy to unveil our prototype OX Platinum Cyclocross disc frame set that came back from paint the other day.

The changes you'll see on the production version you don't see in the photo above are:

• 900g Unicrown triple butted cromoly fork.
• Cable stops on down tube instead of shifter bosses.

Keep your eyes peels for new developments in the coming weeks.  These puppies will be available early next month!

H Plus Son SL42's are now in our stock and ready for shipment.  Excellent choice for someone wanting a high profile rim like a Velocity B43, which have been discontinued.  This leaves the SL42 as one of the only high quality, high profile rims currently available.

Event: 2012 World Hard Court Bike Polo Championship

  The 2012 World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship are going on this weekend in Geneva Switzerland, which started yesterday and ends this Sunday.  This tournament is easily one of the main reasons why people take polo too seriously, and is the finest example of much the sport is growing.

This Polo Bruiser just came back from paint, and is probably the brightest bruiser I've seen yet.  Job well done for putting couplers on it!

New Products In Stock: 2013 Light & Motion Lighting

New models for Light & Motion's bicycle lights are in now stock here.  Pictured above are the Urban lights that come in 200, 400 and 550 lumens.  Light & Motion not only make lights for cycling, but other demanding outdoor sports such as diving and hiking/backpacking.  There are a ton of bicycle light manufacturers and they're making brighter and brighter lights for less money, but the number of lighting companies that make a fully waterproof light system and stand behind it, like Light & Motion does, is not so common.  I often say, "if it isn't waterproof I won't buy it", when it comes to gear and accessories, and for good reasons too.
